When I first heard about the opening of the Marc Cain store in Bucharest, on Calea Victoriei, nr. 63-81, at the ground floor of Radisson Blu Hotel, I didn’t know so many things about the brand and was very curious to find out more. That’s why I initiated a conversation with them, so they can give you & me an insight on this German, cool & fresh spirited brand, which has actually quite of a history.
The premium fashion brand was founded in 1973, in Germany, by Helmut Schlotterer and has 179 stores, 336 shop-in-stores, 367 account clients and another 579 upmarket specialist retail stores in 59 countries.
Read forward to find out more… Oh, and let me show you some beautiful colors of their spring/summer collection!

1. What are the 3 things every fashionista should know about Marc Cain?
Marc Cain is a declaration of love to a woman. Marc Cain stands for innovative thinking. High expectations on design, quality and material as well as the latest processing technologies and the perfect fit are the company’s credo.
With “3-D Knit & Wear technology”, the majority of the flat-knitting machines are able to manufacture products that are “100% Made in Germany”.
2. And what are the 2 or 3 pieces that we will find every season at Marc Cain, but every time with a different twist? (iconic pieces)
Business dresses, high quality knitwear and silk blouses. Animal prints are very important also – every season.

3. What is your opinion on Romanian women’s style?
The Romanian women’s style is self confident, open minded and curious.
4. I know it’s difficult but can you please tell us 3 pieces that are this season’s hottest pieces from your collection?
Skirts are playing a key role and are casually combined with sneakers. Also loose wraps and flowing indoor coats. The denim topic plays a significant role -either as a trench coat or as casual boyfriend jeans in “destroyed” style.
5. How do you embrace the online trends? Social media, bloggers, etc. Do you have any plans for the close future in this area?
There is a social media department at the Marc Cain company. We are really into the online trends such as collaborations with bloggers all over the world, posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It is really important for us to be up to date.

6. If Marc Cain was a perfume – how would it smell?
Flowery and a bit sweeter.
7. Can you please give us a valuable fashion tip?
Just be self confident, underline your personality and stay open-minded and curious.
As I may add… just be a cool Romanian lady! 😉
