The new way to wear pleats

I fell in love with pleats compelled by Chloe spring/summer 2011 collection, where I saw the most beautiful ballet style pleated skirt. But with the time, pleats felt unnatural to me. In my mind, they made me feel too ladylike, a style that does not represent me. I loved them nonetheless, but I had no idea how to wear them anymore.

What say you?

Until this spring, when Victoria Beckham and Calvin Klein used pleats in their collections in a more modern, very me, way and I decided to show my pleats a new life.

So here you can see me wearing a form fitting mini dress over a ladylike pleated skirt, but in an outfit that is not too ladylike. I’m also wearing my new white shoes, which I bought with the #ZaraOnline #Dear_Romania campaign. They hurt my feet badly, but I’m still crazy about them. I hope that after wearing them a few times they will be more comfortable (fingers crossed on that one). I also added the belt because otherwise I would have looked like a pipe.

So, what say you?
