Styling: February issue of Femeia. magazine

Manuri dress, Il Passo Shoes

I believe style icons as role-models are a necessity in times like this, when everybody thinks that they now a thing or two about fashion and styling. Looking at women that inspire us to be classy, sexy or elegant, bold and original, confident and proud, makes us believe more in our selves and try new things with our wardrobe. This Issue at Femeia. we looked back at Marilyn’s sweet sensuality; Brigitte’s free way of expressing herself; Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s for putting funny into classy; Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City – for crazy combinations and a big sense of humor; Madonna for abundant jewelry, music and hotness and Coco Chanel for her courage of being different.

The white dress for Marilyn was a no-brainer – but believe me when I say it was difficult to find. After talking with Manuela from Manuri and her telling me about her new collection & describing every part of this dress, I just knew I have the right one.

C&A top, Reserved shirt & Skirt

Brigitte was difficult to figure out. She was rebellious. She wore a beige trench and nothing underneath, or short leather pants and biker jackets, but also colors, mini’s and flowers in her hair. Because I’m in a non-stop search of spring, I preferred flowers instead of head-bands and hats.

Sandra Galan dress on, Statement Jewelry by Ioana Enache necklace & earrings

I loved this necklace by Statement Jewelry by Ioana Enache because it looked perfect for Holly or Audrey. I have a deep admiration for Miss Hepburn, but if I’d have to choose one of her characters I love most, I think it would be Ariane from “Love in the Afternoon”. Holly is also cute, but it doesn’t deserve all the attention!!

Mirela Diaconu dress on, Arina Varga coat on, Gabriela Dumitran Millinery Atelier silk flowers braid

Carrie or Sarah (even though I recommend disambiguation)was a difficult one. But I knew however she will look she will need some beautiful flowers or feathers in her hair. This outfit reminds me of that episode when Miranda gives birth and Carrie was wearing pink Louboutins; even though her dress was black that time, I thought for Carrie is essential to pick color. And most of all, to pick pink. Carrie pulled out for us some pretty amazing pink outfits, don’t you think?

New Look corset, Dimensione Danza skirt, Zara boots

This is the Madonna of the 80’s. The Madonna that made all women to leave at home their inhibitions. The Madonna that started a craze around her crazy and dramatic outfits. A lingerie body and a tutu where a must. So where all the cross necklaces and the lace cut-off gloves.

Reserved shirt and jacket, Koton pants, Staccato shoes, Sarto bow-tie, Statement Jewelry by Ioana Enache necklace

Coco Chanel gave us masculine chic, the little black dress, the costume jewelry but also hats, crisp shirts and stripes. How do you imagine her? I always think about her wish to feel comfortable in what she was wearing, but never forgetting to add a quelque chose to her final look.

Who would you like to see in a a style – icon photo shoot?
